Every Alderton last is built on standard European sizing and bench-lasted in Almansa. Our lace-ups run generous, so we recommend going half a size down for a closer fit.
Wide foot, take the half size up. Narrow foot, take the smaller one. Between two sizes and unsure, write to us before ordering and we will size you ourselves.
If the pair does not sit right, you are covered by our 30-day return. Send it back and we will make it right.

CUT FROM THE STREETS OF 1920s BIRMINGHAM
Built in the style worn by working men and street gangs alike, this cap carries the quiet confidence of a defining era. Crafted from premium wool in a traditional herringbone weave, it holds its structure and sits clean on the head. A true 1920s silhouette, refined yet rugged — made to be worn with presence.
We strongly recommend rotating between wears and using cedar shoe trees after each wear to hold the shape. Always use a shoe horn.
Let leather soles dry at room temperature, away from direct heat. Brush suede gently once dry and treat it with a protective spray before first wear.
All orders are dispatched within 1-3 business days, in batches on Tuesdays and Fridays. Shipping takes around 7-15 business days worldwide depending on your location. Total time is processing plus shipping.

What began as an argument between two friends over a beret that had outlasted three winter coats became Alderton. Nine years later the argument is settled, and the idea behind it has not moved an inch.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum and no exceptions. For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties may apply and are the customer responsibility.
How long will it take to get my order?
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days, in batches on Tuesdays and Fridays. Shipping takes around 7 to 15 business days depending on your location. Delivery details are provided during checkout and in your confirmation email.
How does the bundle discount work?
Buy two pairs and 15% comes off the order. Buy three or more and it becomes 25%. You can mix any pairs you like, and the discount is applied automatically at checkout with nothing to type in.
How do I find my size?
Every product page has a conversion table for that specific last, in EU, UK, US and centimetres. Most of our lace-ups fit large, so we usually recommend going half a size down. Between sizes, message us before ordering.
What are the return rules?
You can return a pair for any reason within 30 days of receipt. Try them on indoors on a clean surface to keep them returnable. You are responsible for covering the shipping costs back to us, unless the pair arrived faulty.
